When any person, for whom the officer presiding over any Court is authorized to issue a summons or warrant for their appearance or arrest, is present in such Court, the officer may require the person to execute a bond, with or without sureties, ensuring their appearance in the same Court or in any other Court to which the case may be transferred for trial.
