Description
Section 302 deals with punishment for murder. It states that anyone who commits murder shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life, and they may also be fined.The section defines murder under Section 300 and prescribes the penalty accordingly. If someone is found guilty under Section 302, the court can impose a death sentence or life imprisonment.
Punishment
The punishment for committing murder under Section 302 can be either:

- Life imprisonment
