Description

Order for the Restoration of Liberty or Custody of a Woman or Female Child:

• Complaint on Oath:
  Upon receiving a complaint made on oath regarding the abduction or unlawful detention of a woman or a female child under the age of 18 years for any unlawful purpose, the District Magistrate, Sub-divisional Magistrate, or Magistrate of the first class may take action.

• Order for Immediate Restoration:
  The Magistrate may issue an order for the immediate restoration of:

  • The woman to her liberty.
  • The female child to her husband, parent, guardian, or any other person having lawful charge of her.

• Compelling Compliance:
  The Magistrate has the authority to compel compliance with this order and may use force if necessary to ensure it is carried out.
