Description

When a Magistrate orders a local investigation under Section 139, he may:

1. Provide Written Instructions – Issue necessary written guidance to the person conducting the investigation.
2. Determine Expenses – Specify who shall bear the full or partial costs of the investigation.
3. Use the Report as Evidence – Accept the investigator’s report as evidence in the case.
