Description

A police officer in charge of a station has the power to:

1. Enter Premises Without a Warrant

   • If the officer has reason to believe that false weights, measures, or weighing instruments are being used or stored within the station's jurisdiction, he may enter the premises without a warrant.

2. Inspect & Search

   • The officer can inspect and search the premises for such fraudulent instruments.

3. Seize False Weights & Measures

   • If the officer finds any false weights, measures, or instruments, he has the authority to seize them immediately.

4. Report to the Magistrate

   • After the seizure, the officer must immediately inform a Magistrate with jurisdiction over the matter.
