Description

Upon receiving such a report, the Magistrate may:

1. Direct an investigation into the matter.
2. Proceed immediately with the case if deemed appropriate.
3. Depute a subordinate Magistrate to conduct a preliminary inquiry or handle the case as per the provisions of this Code.
