Assignment by Sessions Judge:

• An Additional Sessions Judge or Assistant Sessions Judge shall try cases assigned to them by the Sessions Judge of the division.
• This assignment can be made through a general or special order.

Direction by High Court:

• The High Court may, by a special order, direct an Additional or Assistant Sessions Judge to try a specific case.
