Description
"If multiple offences are committed by the same person in a series of acts so connected as to form the same transaction, they may be charged and tried together in a single trial.
- A person charged with criminal breach of trust or dishonest misappropriation of property under Section 212(2) or Section 219(1), who is also accused of falsifying accounts to facilitate or conceal the offence, may be charged and tried for all such offences in one trial.
- If the alleged acts fall under two or more distinct legal definitions, the accused may be charged and tried for each offence separately in the same trial.
- If multiple acts, which individually may constitute separate offences, when combined form a different offence, the accused may be charged and tried for both the combined offence and any individual offences arising from those acts.
- This section does not override the provisions of Section 71 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).
