CrPC Section-257 - Withdrawal of complaint

Description

If, at any time before a final order is passed under this Chapter, the complainant satisfies the Magistrate that there are sufficient grounds for withdrawing the complaint against the accused—or, if there is more than one accused, against all or any of them—the Magistrate may permit such withdrawal. Upon granting permission, the Magistrate shall acquit the accused against whom the complaint has been withdrawn.
