In the course of the trial of a summons-case involving an offence punishable with imprisonment for a term exceeding six months, if the Magistrate is of the opinion that, in the interests of justice, the case should be tried following the procedure for warrant-cases, he may proceed to re-hear the case in accordance with the provisions of this Code for the trial of warrant-cases. The Magistrate may also recall any witness who has already been examined.
