CrPC Section-263 - Record in summary trials

Description

In every case tried summarily, the Magistrate shall record the following particulars in such form as directed by the State Government:

  1. Serial number of the case
  2. Date of the commission of the offence
  3. Date of the report or complaint
  4. Name of the complainant (if any)
  5. Name, parentage, and residence of the accused
  6. Offence complained of and the offence (if any) proved
    • In cases falling under clause (ii), (iii), or (iv) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 260, the value of the property involved in the offence must also be recorded.
  7. Plea of the accused and his examination (if any)
  8. Finding of the case
  9. Sentence or other final order
  10. Date of termination of proceedings
