CrPC Section-265D - Report of the mutually satisfactory disposition to be submitted before the Court
Description
If a satisfactory disposition is reached in the meeting:
- The Court shall prepare a report documenting the agreed-upon resolution.
- This report must be signed by:
- The Presiding Officer of the Court
- All participants in the meeting (including the Public Prosecutor, police officer, accused, victim, and pleaders, if any).
If no satisfactory disposition is reached:
- The Court shall record this observation in its proceedings.
- The case will then proceed as per the provisions of this Code from the stage at which the plea bargaining application under Section 265B(1) was filed.
