"The High Court or any Sessions Judge may call for and examine the record of any proceedings before an inferior Criminal Court within its or his jurisdiction, in order to satisfy itself or himself about the correctness, legality, or propriety of any finding, sentence, or order, and the regularity of the proceedings. When calling for such a record, the Court may also direct the suspension of any sentence or order, and if the accused is in confinement, they may be released on bail or their own bond pending the examination of the record.
