If a surety to a bond under this Code becomes insolvent or dies, or if a bond is forfeited under section 446, the Court that took the bond or a Magistrate of the first class may order the person who provided the original security to furnish fresh security as per the directions of the original order. If the required security is not provided, the Court or Magistrate may proceed as if there had been a default in complying with the original order.
