CrPC Section-477 - Power of High Court to make rules

Description

"Every High Court, with the prior approval of the State Government, may make rules:

  1. As to the persons who may be permitted to act as petition-writers in the Criminal Courts subordinate to it;
  2. Regulating the issuance of licences to such persons, their conduct of business, and the scale of fees they may charge;
  3. Providing a penalty for any contravention of the rules made under this section, determining the authority responsible for investigating such contravention, and imposing penalties;
  4. Addressing any other matter which is required to be, or may be, prescribed.

All rules made under this section shall be published in the Official Gazette."
