The Internal Committee or Local Committee may, before initiating an inquiry under Section 11 and at the request of the aggrieved woman, attempt to settle the matter through conciliation, provided that no monetary settlement is made as the basis of conciliation.
If a settlement is reached, the Committee shall record it and forward it to the employer or District Officer for action as recommended.
Copies of the settlement shall be provided to both the aggrieved woman and the respondent.
No further inquiry shall be conducted once a settlement is reached.
